Year 1

In Year 1 your child will be taught by Mrs Moorcroft and supported by Mrs Distin Webster and Miss Jacqui.

Firstly we would like to take this opportunity to thank you for a fantastic first half term with your children in Year 1. We are looking forward to another very busy half term leading up to Christmas.

Autumn Term 2

PE

P.E will be on a Tuesday. 

Please ensure your child has P.E kit (shorts, t-shirt, hoodie and pumps) on these days.

Homework

Homework will consist of the children reading their reading books, learning spellings and using the Lexia and Numbots apps. Homework will be given out on Wednesday and will need to be returned to school by the following Monday.

Teaching your child is a team effort and children benefit greatly from additional support from home. You can support your child by helping them to complete homework and by listening to them read daily. Please brings reading books to school EVERYDAY.

Snack – Your child will receive a free piece of fruit/veg. Alternatively you can send your child into school with a healthy snack.

Please send your child to school with a water bottle (WATER ONLY).
