Promoting & Supporting Mental Health & Wellbeing

As a School we strongly believe that as well as maintaining high standards in both work and behaviour that we have an obligation to ensure the overall well-being of all of our children and families. 

We are fortunate to have a full time Pastoral Manager, Mrs Taylor.  She works directly with children and families who may from time to time need some additional support, guidance or advice.  Where other agencies may be involved Mrs Taylor will coordinate these meetings and can assist families through them.  Mrs Taylor also works on a one to one basis or with groups of children on particular issues and is someone that all children know they can go to talk if they need to.  We are very proud to be one of only a few schools in Greater Manchester to be awarded the AcSEED accreditation.  This award recognises our commitment to the emotional well-being of all our children and our whole school approach to emotional development and mental health support.

Mrs Taylor also covers a number of the sensitive areas of the Personal, Social, Health and Citizenship Education (PSHCE) and Health, Sex and Relationships Education (SRE).
