Intent, Implementation and Impact
Design and technology is an inspirational, interesting, and useful subject. Children are inspired to think and interact creatively to solve issues, both individually and in teams.
Within their study of design and technology, children are urged to be creative, think critically, be adventurous, and resilient.
Children are taught to combine their designing and creating abilities with information and understanding to develop and make a product that is suitable for its intended use and often distinctive.
To ensure that all students are able to study and expand upon their foundations as they move through the school, the appropriate skills are taught systematically. Their skills can be seen through the use of a sketchbook.
At Micklehurst All Saints we follow the DATA on a Page projects and below is a table that shows the projects that each year group will be completing.
